Few things excite me like shopping a brand for the first time.
The kind of moment where I throw on one of their garments and think to myself “Oh, this is only the beginning.”
Vuori is my newest, most passionate flame.
If you’re an athleisure enthusiast, the name should ring a bell. Their comfortable activewear and ‘pura vida’ aesthetic has made Vuori immensely popular among outdoorsy folk with a need for performance activewear and city slickers who just like feel-good clothing.
Why have I fallen so hard for Vuori? It’s quite simple: The brand covers the majority of my non- formalwear wardrobe needs. Any time I’m hiking local trails, flying to Europe, or spending the day surfing a picturesque beach, I can dressed head to toe in Vuori.
But let’s take that concept a step further. If I were to assemble the most efficient, do-it-all ensemble, what would that look like?
Well, after having picked up several Vuori staples and testing them out, I’m here to share the ideal Vuori super suit for anyone who values a single-brand capsule wardrobe.
Ponto Performance Jogger
It wouldn’t make sense to kick off this list with anything as comfortable or capable—cornerstones of the brand’s ethos—as a jogger.
I’m not a huge jogger guy, but the Ponto Performance Joggers are the one exception I’ll make when it comes to slim-fit bottoms.
Their brushed DreamKnit™ fabric is 89% recycled polyester and 11% elastane, so it goes without saying they’re soft and stretchy. But aren’t most sweatpants? Yes, but not every pair has a chino-like fit that exudes a dressed-up charm like these.
Even if I’m not traveling for business, I still try to look somewhat stylish at the airport. The Ponto Performance Joggers strike the perfect balance between business-class sensibility and much-needed comfort in economy.
Warm enough for the winter and light enough for the summer, these keep me cool and comfortable in any workout. Featuring zip pockets and their proprietary DreamKnit fabric, the Ponto Performance joggers perfectly combine comfort and technical performance.
Echo Insulated Jacket 2.0
Jackets are tricky—get one too heavy, and you’re stuck feeling like a marshmallow; too light, and you’re shivering the second the wind picks up.
That’s why the Echo Insulated Jacket 2.0 is my go to layer for extra warmth. It’s got that just-right balance where I’m warm but not suffocating, even if I’m layering it over a hoodie or just a tee.
The feel of this jacket is the real win for me. It’s soft and lightweight, almost like pulling on your favorite sweatshirt. And the fit? Modern without being too snug—exactly what I need when I’m out running errands or catching up with friends downtown.
Need I expand on why a water-resistant coating is a major plus?
It’s lightweight and cozy, almost like your favorite sweatshirt, but with a water-resistant boost. Plus, it’s got a modern fit that’s not too tight, so it’s an equally stylish option for layering over tees, crewnecks, or hoodies.
Sunday Performance Jogger
This is indeed the second pair of joggers on my list, but the Sunday Performance Joggers have enough differentiating qualities to warrant their own spot in my Vuori toolkit.
The fabric is the sweet spot—light enough to keep me comfortable, but not so thin that I feel exposed, which is particularly important for my workouts.
These joggers have more elastane than the Pontos, and because the material on the Sunday Performance Joggers is more breathable, I tend to reach for these any time my day incorporates more activity than leisure.
The joggers hit just above the ankle, which I like because they don’t drag or feel heavy. Plus, the zip pocket is perfect for stashing my keys if I’m going on a long run outdoors.
If you're looking for a performance-based pair of joggers, Vuori has you covered. This fabric is super lightweight and breathable, and the waist band and taper below the knee help keep them secure, even during your most intense HIIT circuit.
Gamepoint Polo
The Gamepoint Polo quickly became one of my favorites because it nails that blend of performance and everyday style. I’m all about pieces that don’t scream “athletic wear” while still delivering on function, and this polo does exactly that.
The fabric feels light and breathable, but it doesn’t have that shiny, synthetic look you often see with performance gear, making it versatile enough for everything from a tennis match to a casual lunch.
What really stands out to me are the sleeves. They’re tailored just right—snug enough to show off the arms but still giving enough room to move comfortably.
Above all else, the lack of branding is what sold me on the Gamepoint Polo. Chest insignias are commonplace, but I appreciate how Vuori moved it from the left chest to the sleeve—color matching it to the fabric for even more subtlety.
The fabric is light and breathable, with a clean, non-shiny look that works for anything. The fit’s on point too—snug sleeves without restriction and minimal branding for that low-key, polished look.
Long Sleeve Manhattan Button Down
Given how I’m rarely attending truly formal settings like business-critical meetings with external stakeholders or weddings, the Long Sleeve Manhattan Button Down meets 99% of my business-casual needs.
I really appreciate the non-iron fabric. It makes life a lot easier when I can just pull it out of the wash and wear it without worrying about wrinkles. It’s got a slight stretch, too, which is a big upgrade from the usual stiff feel of a cotton oxford.
The length is also spot on, hitting right at the waist, which works just about anywhere. It’s polished enough to look sharp with chinos but still comfortable enough to wear on a more laid-back day.
Kore Unlined Short
The Kore Unlined Short is an easy pick for pretty much anything I’ve got planned.
They’re stretchy enough for a solid workout, and because they’re unlined, they work just as well for a quick dip in the pool.
I’m all about packing less whenever I can, so having one pair of shorts that covers both bases is a win. Simple, comfortable, and gets the job done—just how I like it.
However, if you do value a lined interior for athletic shorts, Vuori has you covered with the Kore Lined Shorts.
Stretchy for workouts and unlined, so they double as swim trunks—ideal for packing light. These shorts keep it simple and comfortable, perfect for whatever the day brings.
Tuvalu Tee
Vuori has a wide variety of tees, and while I’ve only tested the Tuvalu Tee, I can safely recommend it as the tee in a capsule wardrobe.
With the highest cotton content of any Vuori tee (90%), it’s soft in that way only a good cotton shirt can be. What I like most is how it comes out of a suitcase—pull it out after a flight, and it’s still laying flat, ready to wear without the usual wrinkles. No need to fuss with it.
The mix of seaweed and wood pulp in Vuori’s SeaCell™ fabric keeps it lightweight and breathable, but it still has that natural feel instead of the synthetic vibe you get with most performance tees. And since it’s mostly cotton, it’s not prone to holding onto odors like some activewear.
For me, that makes it perfect, whether I’m on the go, working out, or just hanging out—no need for a wardrobe change.
Vuori’s Tuvalu Tee is a lesson in functional fashion. The soft Pima cotton blend keeps it breathable and flexible, while the subtle weave and refined fit ensure it pairs well with just about anything in my wardrobe.
Fluent Sweater Hoodie
The Fluent Sweater Hoodie stands out in my closet for a few reasons. The first thing I noticed was the ribbed details—they give the hoodie a bit of an elevated look compared to most athletic pullovers. It’s got that blend of casual and refined, which makes it easy to throw on with a sleek vest for casual dinners or even by itself for unapologetic, all-day couch cruising.
The fabric mix is a win, too. With 95% organic cotton and just a touch of cashmere, it has that natural softness that feels great to wear. You can tell it’s good quality just by how it feels—light enough to work as a second layer without getting too warm, but substantial enough that it doesn’t feel flimsy like a 100% polyester hoodie would.
It’s definitely a higher-end Vuori piece, and for that, it’s a shoo-in on this list.
The Fluent Sweater Hoodie brings a bit more polish to my hoodie lineup, thanks to the ribbed details that set it apart from standard pullovers. The fabric blend—95% organic cotton with a hint of cashmere—adds natural softness that’s perfect for layering or lounging.
Through my own experiences with Vuori, I’ve put together what I believe is the ultimate, all-encompassing lineup for most guys out there.
Whether it’s for staying active, traveling light, or looking put-together in everyday situations, these pieces have you covered. I wanted to build a list that checks off all the boxes—comfort, versatility, and quality—and these items do exactly that.
If you’re looking to simplify your wardrobe with reliable and stylish essentials, this collection is a solid starting point.
Vuori’s lineup of performance-wear looks and feels good. Their sizes are on the small side, so if you’re in between, go larger. Their customer service is on-point so you can focus on getting clothes that take you from the gym to the lake to a Sunday stroll.
